Branch Specific Discount Considerations in Order Entry
Branch Specific Discounts have been configured to automatically reset the Discount ID whenever branches or accounts (insurance companies and account customers) do not agree. This feature is especially useful when it�s important to apply the correct discount for accounts and branches that cross geographic regions with different pricing schemes. This topic attempts to explain how specific discounts are applied to and reset on an order.
The main concept to remember is that the �account�branch�discount� relationship must be maintained on the order. Otherwise, the Discount ID field will turn red and will force you to add a discount that is applicable to the order. If no applicable discounts are available, you will have to reset the Branch to accept it by establishing the proper associations using the Setting up Branch Specific Discounts instructions.
