Internet Explorer is showing “Page Cannot Be Displayed” after you enter your username Follow

Overview

When a user connects to the https://connect.gtsonline.net website, they may receive a Page Cannot be Displayed message either from the start or after they enter their username.  These directions provide options to correct this issue by making changes to IE security.

Step 1 - Resetting Internet Explorer to defaults

Internet Explorer can sometimes make it very difficult to connect to GTS Online. We can solve that problem by resetting Internet Explorer (IE) to its default settings.

To do so, you follow these easy steps.

Open IE

  1. Click on the Gear icon to access IE Settings
  2. Scroll Down to “Internet Options”
  3. Choose the “Advanced” tab at the top
  4. Click the “Reset” Button to reset the settings to their default settings.
  5. Click “Reset” again to complete.
  6. Remember to close IE completely so the process completes

Step 2 – Verify SSL and TLS Settings (Advanced)

Some applications may cause your SSL and TLS settings to be modified. This will affect what level of security your browser will use to connect to certain web sites.

Please verify the SSL and TLS settings by performing the following steps:

  1. Open IE
  2. Click on the Gear icon to access IE Settings
  3. Scroll Down to “Internet Options”
  4. Choose the “Advanced” tab at the top
  5. Scroll down to the bottom of the page
  6. Verify that the check boxes are set the same in your browser
