Hidden GlasPacLX Commands Follow

Overview

This topic lists the hidden features in GlasPacLX for demonstrations, testing, and debugging. Attention! This document is intended to be used by GTS Customer Support only.

Demo Features

Demo Feature: Makes the Accounting Synch Setup Wizard automatically open on systems that are not set up yet.

Key Combination/Steps: Use {Shift} + C when starting the Account Synch program. This clears the ExtAcctConfig table and forces the Setup Wizard to automatically start.

Possible Users/Scenarios: Testing by GTS Acct Techs—to help them prepare their test system they will use during their customer training.

Test Feature: Makes the Communications Applet automatically import all dispatch .XML files in a directory and send dispatches for them.

Key Combination/Steps: Use /D as a command line parameter on the Comm Applet.EXE with the second command line parameter being {Pathname}.

Possible Users/Scenarios: GTS’s automated testing

Test Feature: Makes the Communications Applet open to form from the start instead of to the sys tray.

Key Combination/Steps: Use /show as a command line parameter on the Comm Applet.EXE

Possible Users/Scenarios: GTS’s automated testing.

Test Feature: Cycle through print previewing all reports in the system.

Key Combination/Steps: Press the {CTRL} +X keys while on the Reports selection form, and then click the ‘test all reports’ or ‘test this report’ button.

Possible Users/Scenarios: To test all reports in the system very quickly for stability.

 

Debugging Features

Debug Feature: Opens the Activation Code dialog, which accepts the custom feature password entry.

Key Combination/Steps: Hold down the {CTRL} key while starting GlasPacLX.

Possible Users/Scenarios: Developer/To test and fix custom feature problems on a client's machines.

Debug Feature: Directly opens the database & file server selection screen in GlasPacLX.

Key Combination/Steps: Hold down the left {SHIFT} key while starting GlasPacLX.

Possible Users/Scenarios: Anyone/To change databases quickly in a training or development environment.

Debug Feature: Imports the EDIWIN & EDILIST file currently in the EDI mail folder into GlasPacLX

Key Combination/Steps: Press the {CTRL}+{SHIFT}+I keys while on the EDI mail form.

Possible Users/Scenarios: To ensure that the customer is on the latest EDI configuration update.

Debug Feature: Exports selected EDI batches to the file system to review.

Key Combination/Steps: Press the {CTRL}+{SHIFT}+E keys while on the EDI batch form.

Possible Users/Scenarios: To debug a possible problem with an EDI batch's data.

Debug Feature: Additional Error log file to troubleshoot EDI Connection issues

Key Combination/Steps: Press the {CTRL}+{SHIFT}+D keys while in the EDI Send Receive screen

Possible Users/Scenarios: Troubleshoot EDI connection issues.

Debug Feature: Opens the Vertex debug file based on the current order.

Key Combination/Steps: Press the {CTRL}+{SHIFT}+T keys while on an order integrated with Vertex taxing.

Possible Users/Scenarios: To show input and output of a call to the Vertex API, especially useful when conversing with Vertex technical support.

Debug Feature: Copies and pastes an XML dispatch directly into the Communications Applet to send to GlasPacLX.

Key Combination/Steps: Press the {CTRL}+L keys while on the admin/settings form.

Possible Users/Scenarios: To debug a possible problem with receiving electronic dispatches on a system.

Debug Feature: Sends the SQL code of a finder to the screen to review.

Key Combination/Steps: Press the {CTRL}+L keys while on any finder form.

Possible Users/Scenarios: To debug a possible problem with a particular finders data return

Debug Feature: Sends the XML for a ENOL to the screen to review.

Key Combination/Steps: Press the {CTRL}+L keys while on the ENOL entry form.

Possible Users/Scenarios: To debug a possible problem with a particular ENOL on a system.

Debug Feature: Sends the XML for an Online Order to the screen to review.

Key Combination/Steps: Press the {CTRL}+L keys while on the Online Ordering Detail form.

Possible Users/Scenarios: To debug a possible problem with a particular online order on a system.

Debug Feature: Sends the XML for a dispatch to the screen to review.

Key Combination/Steps: Press the {CTRL}+L keys while on the Dispatch Print Preview form

Possible Users/Scenarios: To debug a possible problem with a particular online order on a system.

Debug Feature: Restores the database from the command line.

Key Combination/Steps: Use /R as a command line parameter on the GlasPacLX.EXE file with the second command line parameter being the PWOD.

Possible Users/Scenarios: To assist GTS techs in quickly restoring an LX database
