Overview

The Windows User Account Control (UAC) settings can affect the installation and some functionality of GlasPac LX as well as connectivity to GTS Online.  This document describes the process used to disable UAC in Windows 7, 8, and 8.1 Professional versions.

 

Opening Control Panel

Windows 7

Click the START button, and then select Control Panel

Windows 8 and 8.1

Tap the START or Windows button on your keyboard

Start typing Control Panel, and a search windows will display with your results.

Click Control Panel from the list to open the applet

Disabling UAC

For all versions of Windows, follow these steps to disable the UAC feature

Verify that the View by setting has Category selected (this is the default).

Click on User Accounts

On the next screen, click User Accounts

Click on Change User Account Control settings

Move the slider down to Never notify

Click OK to save the setting

Reboot Windows to complete the process

UAC will now be disabled and will not interfere with installation or functionality of GlasPac LX, nor will it interfere with connections to GTS Online.
